In 2001 I lost both my 12 yr marriage & my 7 yr cleaning business. (still single, but reopened business in 2006) To say the least I was very lost for about 3yrs. But during that time I rediscovered a SHEILA that I hadn’t seen since my mid 20’s. A SHEILA who wanted to go places and do things.
With most of my fears licked (like taking a job driving a “order picker” a fork lift that takes you up in the air, when I had a deathly fear of heights, to put food on my table) and riding myself of the guilt we women feel (or at least me) when we decide there might be other things we would rather do instead of cooking-cleaning-doing laundry-and being on call 24/7 for our families.
Now this doesn’t mean that we don’t love them, it’s just that, as they have full lives that we wholeheartedly support, we are allowed to have one as well. That’s why there are cleaning services, lawn care services, cab companies & “Boston Chicken”…lol
And that is what my blogs are about. Some of the adventures and misadventures I faced while just trying to get a little time & space for myself. In search of that perfect moment of ahhhhhhhh!
My first blog will be about the convertible I finally brought @ age 44 that I always wanted (and yes you can still sing Barney songs with the top down & who said it HAD to be a mini van?) and my 1st solo trip in it.
